The draft is held over skype usually the first Sunday in August. This year the draft is on August 5th, 2018 at 9 am Pacific time.
The CHA drafts the players just taken from the NHL entry draft in June. We also will draft any NHL players who are currently not on an NHL team. E.g. College free agents who sign or cut players.
